‘Hidden’ – Art & Poetry Exhibition

As part of Worcestershire Litfest’s annual Literary Festival in June, an Art & Poetry Exhibition will be on display at Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum, featuring art and words by 10 local artists and 10 local poets in response to the theme ‘HIDDEN’. This free-entry exhibition opens on Saturday 7 June and runs until Sunday 29 June. Visitors will be able to choose their favourite artwork and favourite poem and so enter a draw to get the chance to win an original painting. The 10 artists involved are four of the Resident Artists at Bevere Gallery and six of their regular Guest Artists. The poets are members of Worcestershire Litfest & Fringe.

Evening event

A related free-entry LIVE Poetry Reading and Art Slideshow will be held on the evening of Friday 13 June in the beautiful Old Palace (off Deansway) starting at 7.30. Everyone is welcome! Attendees will be able to listen to the poets reading their own poems and view the art slideshow. There will be a bar offering wine and beer as well as tea and coffee.
