Kiki Dee & Carmelo Luggeri

Yorkshire born Kiki’s prowess was spotted at an early age when she won a local talent show when only 10 years old. At 16 her blue eyed soulful voice had won her a deal with Fontana Records and she has since released 40 singles, 15 albums 3 EPs and won the distinction of being the first ever female vocalist from the UK to be signed by Tamla Motown.

In 1973 her stunning ‘Amoureuse’ became her first top 20 singles entry followed by ‘I’ve Got the Music in Me’ (top 20 UK & USA) and in 1975, the unforgettable ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ with Elton John which topped the charts both sides of the Atlantic. Hits followed with ‘Star’ and further success with Elton, ‘True Love’ reaching No. 2 in the 90s.

Also an accomplished actor, she has appeared in Blood Brothers in the West End and Broadway and on TV in the Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise and Benny Hill shows amongst countless others.

Never to rest on her laurels, she joined forces with virtuoso guitarist Carmelo Luggieri who has worked with such luminaries as Andy Williams, Ralph McTell, Bill Wyman, Chris Rea, Kenney Jones, Paul Rodgers,and Julian Lennon, and this partnership has lasted for over 25 years bringing their spellbinding acoustic live shows to audiences throughout the UK and Europe. Performing in this stripped back fashion allows each of their exceptional talents to shine through and create a warm sense of intimacy for the audience.

Kiki says that Carmelo is her favourite guitarist, and he co-writes and produces all their material.
